Chris Olsen is a strategic storyteller and an inspired graphic designer who has devoted her career to connecting individuals and organizations using the power of words, images and experiences. After more than a decade of fast-paced, 60-hour workweeks as a broadcast media marketer, she launched a consultancy and began leveraging her behind-the-scenes media expertise to benefit clients.
Today, Chris Olsen Communications partners with nonprofits and mid-sized organizations to develop and implement innovative marketing and communications strategies including content development, copywriting, blogging, ghostwriting, technical writing, graphic design, social media/web/presentation graphics, branding, experiential marketing and event partnerships.
Chris’ portfolio includes projects in economic development, education/museums, entertainment, financial services, food/beverage, health/wellness, professional services and science/technology. She is particularly passionate about working with women- and minority-owned/led businesses, and nonprofits focused on equality, education and economic empowerment.
A Minneapolis native, Chris now enjoys life in the country surrounded by organic veggie gardens and her art teacher partner’s overflowing pottery studio. She spends her free time writing (her first book is currently a work in progress), and volunteering as a youth mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters and Art Buddies.
